In the home game I play in, you are not allowed to play any hand from late position to prevent this exact situation. Just let them chop the blinds! Sometimes I will even fold an otherwise playable hand from early position when it looks like people are going to fold because I don't want there to be any question that I want to go out of my way to permit the blinds to chop.
