Who cares, first company is with whom OP made the deal in the first place. They are still responsible. OP should demand that they go after the shady company.

ok update: I did immediately contact Shady Scumbags, but I didn't feel that was important to the story since at the time they said the car would be coming on time and nothing seemed fishy.

I have decided to go to the police and report the entire situation, but unfortunately the stolen vehicle has to be reported in Las Vegas since it is the last time I had possession of the vehicle.

As far as the death threat goes, it does appear unlikely that it is anything legitimate, but it's still worrisome that I received a call from a random person threatening my existence. Luckily, I live in a nice town where the cops have nothing to do so they are going to put a squad car in front of my house tonight. Hopefully Todd doesn't come during the day.

someone once threatened my life. i reported it to the cops. this was different tho - he was a punk mad over a girl and i mainly wanted to make sure if something happened to me that the idiot would get caught. i was pretty sure nothing would happen.

If you want to do anything more (and I'm not saying you should given the fact that a death threat, no matter how implausible, is still a death threat), here's what I'd consider. Explain the situation to your insurance company and provide them with the paperwork given to you from the original "moving" company. My guess is the insurance company will seek reimbursement from the first company and you will be made whole, either right away or when the insurance company itself gets paid.

Of course, there's still a concern in that any company that deals with an outfit that makes death threats might also be dangerous......

How do you report someone for breach of contract? I think the answer is sue for breach of contract.

You need to report it stolen. Call the original company and let them know you reported the car stolen. They made the agreement to deliver the car and they are responsible for the car period until signed delivery.

You can sue the car mover you made agreement with as well.

OP, did you google company A before shipping with them?

Ok all the funny **** aside, you should speak to Company A. You have a binding contract with THEM, not Shady Scumbags. It doesn't matter what Shady Scumbags do. If they deliver the car with no wheels it's not them you can sue, it's Company A because Shady Scumbags have been subcontracted to act on behalf of Company A. Therefore, if Company A fails to deliver the terms of the contract then you can sue them. I would read all the small print first to make sure there's no ****ty clause which says otherwise. Would suck if so.

Regarding death threat, I would contact Shady Scumbags again to ask to speak to the person who can get your car to you. If you get on the phone to Todd, just don't say anything. Don't provoke him or whatever. If there is a chance he's for real then don't tap the glass. Would 100% contact the police though and insist on massive amount of discretion as you fear for your life. Get police to monitor etc.

Oh, and I probs would buy a gun just to be safe and pray you never have to use it. But srsly, keep it loaded.
