Awesome Fold By Me Awesome Fold By Me

Hi guys, new to the forum, been playing poker for several years now, since I was in college.

Earlier this year I was in my local casino for a Monday night tournament (£25+£5.50 (I know the rake is horrible btw) 10k starting stack, two 40 minute levels to start, then 20 minutes thereafter, not a great structure but not bad)

Player A (very tight player) UTG Limps for 50, I raise to 200 w/99, Player B on the button calls, blinds fold, Player A Calls.

Flop is J-10-9 rainbow, Player A checks, I bet 500 into 675. Player B raises to about 2k. Player A re-raises to about 5.5k-6k aprox.

After a lot of thought I mucked my set of nines and the button mucked.

I asked Player A to show if I did and we showed each other our hands, he turned out to have KQ.

I would like opinions on whether you think I made a good play (disregarding hindsight) because 9 times out of 10 in these tournament situations the flopped set is a huge favourite.

cliffs?

cliffs:
- op believes someone who limp/calls utg with KQ is super tight
- op's flop pot bet with 99 on jt9r got raised and then 3-bet
- op says he folded and was shown kq
- op is asking for opinions on whether it was a good fold (wants praise and to establish himself as the next phil ivey ldo)

those cliffs are long so:

cliffs of cliffs:
- op is a ******

Obviously I want some kind of recognition, I made a great fold. Also, I should clarify that Player A limp calls lots of hands deep stacked but plays tight post-flop. Also, I haven't posted here before so have little or no experience using "cliffs" so I just assumed it means a condensed version of lots of text.

Oh man, just see what is this forum about and how are people threads going.

Unless you have a real legitimate brag/beat just avoid to post here.

Otherwise you are just asking for humiliation.
