You should've bet the river to make sure it was a superuser.

yeah if you would have bet the river and been called he is 100% a superuser, at this point we can only be roughly 66% sure he is a superuser.

NL Holdem $0.25(BB) Poker Stars
Hero ($132)
BB ($46.25)
UTG ($11.35)
UTG+1 ($5)
CO ($28.55)
BTN ($27.95)

Dealt to Hero 2 2, fold, fold, CO raises to $1, fold, Hero raises to $2, fold, CO calls $1

I min-re-raise here for two reasons. #1: I'm better than 50/50 vs AK and if I get re-re-raised I can lay it down because he obviously holds 33+ and I'm not going to draw against a made hand. #2: If he smooth calls, I can put him on 2 overs and play the hand with added information.

FLOP ($4.25) A Q 3

This flop is not great for me, but he could have slow played KK against me preflop, so I'll throw out a min-bet just to see where I am.

Hero bets $0.25, CO raises to $3.25, Hero calls $3

Since he re-raises my min-bet I figure he has to have a decent hand now, or possibly trying to get a free river with a backdoor flush draw. Either way, it will tilt him to no end if I spike my deuce so I'll call for some meta-game 2nd full buy-in tilt-educed implied spew (FBITIS) implied odds.

TURN ($10.75) A Q 3 5

I miss my deuce, but it gets better. I now have picked up a straight draw to go with my set draw. And we know its far worst to go runner-runner straight with a pair of ducks than just to spike my set. I figure hitting a 4 on the river is worth about 2 or 3 FBITIS's. With those kind of implied odds, it would be mathematically incorrect not to call here.

Hero checks, CO bets $6.50, Hero calls $6.50

So I do.

RIVER ($23.75) A Q 3 5 3

Well, it didn't work out this time. The good thing is that he won't get to see my hand because I can muck when he bets the river. This is important because I can't have donkeys stealing my strategies like implied odds of FBITIS's.

Hero checks, CO checks

He checks? Well it turns out I had the best hand anyway. This is devastating because he now knows the power of one of my best moves in poker.

Hero shows 2 2
(Pre 50%, Flop 74.2%, Turn 86.4%)

CO mucks 8 6
(Pre 50%, Flop 25.8%, Turn 13.6%)

Hero wins $22.60

$22.60 doesn't even come close to covering the benefit of what I have given away in this hand. CO is the real winner here.

Smoothcalling only because I'm pretty sure i got 2 overcards. Its a coinflip and i can outplay him postflop.

FLOP ($4.25) A Q 3

SB bets $0.25, Hero raises to $3.25, SB calls $3

I'm pretty sure I can get him off his low pair with this raise here. In adition to that, I still got two overs. If he smoothcalls I'm barreling/vbetting turn if I hit a pair.

TURN ($10.75) A Q 3 5

SB checks, Hero bets $6.50, SB calls $6.50

He most likely has twos or fours here, since i have an eight and a six (my two overs) and there are a three and a five down there. Pretty insane to believe he has three cards of the same kind. I'm barreling here in most cases. If he calls, well I guess he can have sevens, in which case i don't have two overs, which entirely f**ks up my read till now. I'm checking river back.

RIVER ($23.75) A Q 3 5 3

SB checks, Hero checks
The worst has happened. I'm pretty sure he's on sevens. No other hand is taking his line in that hand. Positively can't bluff a good player with sevens on that board here.Totally outplayed, I suck at reading

Hero shows 8 6
(Pre 50%, Flop 25.8%, Turn 13.6%)

I guess my read wasn't that bad after all.
