lol well done this is the biggest beat ive ever seen in bbv, even though youre up money.

have you considered, apart from getting a coach, alot of lifestyle changes? exercising more, socialising more etc, will probably give you a much happier level of existence, and then you will have a much clearer head when you play poker, instead of tilting etc. you should read the boywonder thread again, and really think about what he has to say imo.

gl in the future haha

If I am not mistaken, 4 tabling fast tables, 2 hours a day, everyday = almost 300k hands per year.

Why not get your job back and still play 300k hands per year?

I was about to give it some love because earning 15k in 10k hands nonshowdown after losing money in non showdowns up till that point is the sickest thing I've seen on a PT graph in a long time.

Reasonable question.
Simple Answer: I was a 2.5ptbb/100 winner at 200nl for 500k hands in a part time capacity over the previous 2 years. While this isnt amazing by any stretch of the imagination it was $50 an hour (approx) including rakeback etc. over a considerable sample and I felt confident that it would be a succesful transition. I didnt like my job, and felt blessed to have the oppertunity to make $50 an hour doing something I enjoyed. So after MUCH deliberation and preperation (Saving up $30k in addition to spending prob $10k on coaching with a handful of succesful and reputable players) I decided it was the right thing to do.

However the reality of the situation is that sometimes things just dont go like we plan no matter how hard we beat our head against a wall trying to make it so.

I am hesitant to give a lengthy summation on all that I have learned in the past year as I feel that it would be a concession speech of sorts, and while I can admit failure, I am not sure that I am prepared to acknowledge defeat. But suffice it to say that there are worse ways to spend your time than reflecting on the realities of life, dealing with hardships and the mental awkaenings that occur as a result of "failure" all from the comfort of your living room. This has not been an easy thing to endure, nor am I proud of my results, but I have certainly gained perspective and insight which I did not have a year ago.

get the day job back. can still play on the side and if you are just playing when you want to will probably be much easier than you think to make 10-20k.

Play less tables. 500k hands in a year with those results is pretty disgusting. You need to focus on playing better, and nothing else. If you can make enough money at 1/2, don't even think about moving up until you have repaired your finances and you are absolutely crushing the games. Also join a video site if you aren't already a member. Good luck!

I'll be 100% honest...I feel pretty bad for you cause I know a couple guys that went down this road. If you only have $6K left I highly recommend using that as an emergency fund and going out and getting a normal job right now. Remember you can always play poker part time on the weekends etc.
