TAJ 20: This past Memorial Day weekend......one of the most wildest, juciest 20 games in the last 6 months! This is main game and half of the table is stuck an average of 2 racks. Most of us have been playing for over 12 hours and 3 fish have been playing over 2 days!!

My image: TAG and have only been playing a few hands an hour. Anyway, I open UTG with 6 6 3 more cold call the 2 bets and button (TAG asian and the best player in the game) makes it 3 bets and everyone calls. Immediately, I put him on AK minimum or QQ KK OR AA.........

I announced that I check blind preflop.... 5 of us to the flop for 3 BBs.
Flop comes K 6 Q its checked around to the button who bets.....I just cold call, as does everyone else. Turn is another Q, I checked again as does everyone else.....button bets, I reraise everyone folds to buttton, he insta reraises......(again, he is the best player at table and I have played with him 3-4 times both here and the 40/80 game at Borgata...we both respect each others play)

I folded 6s full face up....much to the tables surprise and his as well...I simply put him on bigger house KK or outside shot of KQ or QUADS.

I would never fold that hand to anyone else at this table.....

As it turns out.....he shows his hand to me too...... AQ ! .....as it turns out, because the whole table knew he was the best player at table ....my boat was probably behind and was told that I still shouldve called it down to river and hope for best.....

During the session, I had beaten him 3/4 times (got lucky) ..... he turns to me and says......."you finally put me on a hand" .

Normally, I dont open with these mid pairs, but in this game with 6 fish, it most certainly was the best hand and I would get absolute max if I hit my set......didnt expect the button to wake up with hand......he wasnt playing too many hands either.

Just few minutes before there was $1500 pot won with pair of 5s!!
Another almost $1800 pot won with J4off and almost $2000 pot won with 34 hearts and 4 hearts on the board!!

i hope this is a gimmick, because you played every street as badly as you could possibly play it.

i might play the hand this way if i was trying to lose on purpose.

i also think you miscounted the number of fish at the table.

I admit perhaps checking blind was not the best thing to do.......I should have led out the turn and call down to river.

But, if you put someone on a hand like KK AA OR QQ......how can my boat be good here? Perhaps I gave too much credit.....I realize that.....

Dude, there were between 4-6 fish at this table all day/night long.....thats why this game lasted so long.....the table was drawing spectators from the whole poker room!

Average hands would be limped / capped at least 6, 7 , 8 way preflop and capped to river with 4-5 way.....SICK!

For years people have told me to go to the taj. They told me the game is great and the worst players at the Borgata stand to be the best players at the taj. For years I have refused to go.

Dude, you have no idea how sick this game was...........if you hold premium hands in this game i.e. JJ - AA you are in big trouble ......all these guys are stuck big and dont care ....they either will get it back or lose it all! They were capping preflop with Q2s and such....There were $1k swings in 15 min time!

Good luck.....don't take the game as being very easy.....Yes, the game is much better than Borg 20 (not always the best scenerio)......this particular game was ridiculous and doesnt come for about 6 months.....you always will never know where u are in the hand.

Ditto on that. I can't fold monster hands in monster pots. Just not in my skill set.

But seriously, I really don't like the way you played the hand on any street. I limp PF (obv) and bet the flop to trap people and ram-and-jam. I'd fire the turn and call down if raised if they guy is that good. If it's a normal Taj whacko, I'd cap the turn and bet/call the river (or cap for good measure assuming the river isn't a Q or a K or something gross like that.)
