Hobbs! wow. . . .I was in a raid with your buddy (did you he tell you?) Ugh, I forget his name. Nice guy, curly hair, from NYC we played that time in that place that I can't mention.

Joe how's things? You couldn't pay me to be seen in one of those dives. Barron we met Friday night. Josh introduced me to you. I made the stupid comment of this place (Foxwoods) being a goldmine.
I got the text about the tables. I know it was all a joke.

Sadly, I've been to everyone one at some point in my life, yes the Belfont and Liberty Heights included. Kinda strange growing up in a town of ~10k and having a bar per 1000 people...

Things are very busy, but good. Will be a first time Dad in the next few weeks! I love Cali but miss the old towns, I'll get my daughter and come back some day. Hopefully visit Foxwoods too, where it all began!

Congrats on being a dad soon! great news! Busy is always a good thing. Let me know if you come back next year at all to visit. Maybe we can catch a Sox game or something. Out of all the bars in Millbury the Belfont I kinda liked. I think the old guy who owned it died recently so I think it shut down. It's always funny walking into the towny bars. It is like 1985 came by and never left.

Bk1248,

here's what happened at foxwoods last night. Some guy named Joe was drinking in the 40-80 and bragging to anyone who listened about his jump-bet bluffs. Apparently, he had king high, and when an ace came on the river. he jumped up and bet it. . said "yes, kings are ace magnets!" and the guy showed kk and folded, or something like that. he was so drunk he couldn't even pay attention, but still played ok. one kid showed his hand and joe went to muck, then he said "oh wait," pulled his cards back and turned over the nut flush. Another showdown he sighed and said "ahhh, i missed my flush and turned over trip 44's, laughing loudly for the whole table. he was trying to get this guy with a backwards hat to drink with him, but the guy refused. it was the same guy he kept standing up and yelling to about his jump-bet bluffs from before. "hey, i just jump-bet bluffed!!! listen. . you taught me that! " his grin was super wide. that guy's funny.

If you smooth call pf and flop then you have a good 2bet to make on turn. It sounds like you were unsure where you were in the hand every street, but I think it is reasonable to think you have a chance of being ahead on turn, so i think you raise with the intention of checking down on river.

If he 3 bets the turn, then you can muck feeling pretty good you were behind from the bat. If he calls, then he may check a wide range of hands when a blank comes on river, regardless of whether he intends to check-raise, check-call, or check-fold.

If your referring to my post, no I did not suggest smooth call PF; rather i said IF you smooth call pf...i do not think it was correct to smooth call, but that is what happened under his facts...
