Live 75 HE, folded to me in SB, I open K2o, BB, a tall statuesque brunette who is wearing a low cut top, apparently to show off her ample cleavage to confuse and distract lesser players, calls.

She is rumored to be a winning internet player, is extremely aggressive and many regs have been waiting for her to go broke for about two years now but apparently she just runs hotter than the sun cause she's playing bigger than ever.

Flop is something like T64, two diamonds. I bet, she calls, most likely with the intention of raising the turn given she seems to do this about 75% of the time in position vs. me. Turn is a T, not a diamond. I check intending to let her attempt to bluff me. In general I'm not planning on folding K high to her on this board unless the flush draw hits the river and I'm still pairless.

After the hand she berates me for not betting the turn, and tells me my turn check was awful and even a check-raise would not have been as putrid. At that point I slid on my headphones and listened to this song during the remainder of her rant, so I thought I'd post this to see if someone can fill in the blanks on what I missed on how I play so bad.

T changed nothing. if you're hand is good on the flp it's good on the turn. she's likely peeing w/ one of a billion hands.

that's all i can think of. i'd play it the same way as you though and think chance of getting bluff raised on turn is too high.

Besides she's a girl and I would like a wider range of opinions from actual men on my play.

I honestly have no clue if this is bad or not.

Nice hand. Anyone who berates anyone at the table isn't someone to seek approval from. Even if she wins at poker she probably loses at life.

I think it's fine if you're doing it in a balanced way, its more that i dont think you were.

Also, I never won on the internets and I def fail at life.

Dc, I've played a fair bit with you and the problem here is that when you chk this turn you alway have between ace and queen high and you're never folding any of that range. So when you check the turn I already know which way you're traipsing down the garden path. The more interesting question is how to fix this problem.

It's probably true I am very unbalanced against this type of player.

You are a winner at everything you apply yourself to, at levels unimaginable to all but a tiny fraction of the world.

And to clarify the story, she didn't really berate me in a heavy handed way, it was midway between a chiding and a admonishment. A single sharp word from this lovely flower is more shocking and painful than an hour long tirade from the worst tilter you've ever played against.

And while my accuracy with some of the details is a little fuzzy, I stand firmly behind my description of her bountiful cleavage.

Additional thoughts addendum:

I guess it's more that I feel like you need to have hands that you play this way against which I can't safely two street value bet super light but super easily? Esp because I know that in general you're not going to fold stuff like K hi in that spot.

I don't think you should lead the river when you get there either fwiw.

Confirmation in the house.

Fix is not. I guess I'll just barrel more, I don't think I barrel enough and even when I do I make some bad river checks, so I think I will switch to barreling too much and make some bad river bets.

Beats thinking too much any ways.

you could also considering strengthening your c/c range, or creating a c/r value and corresponding c/r bluff range so that your turn check doesn't mean: "I have a highcard hand I'm showing down, value bet me if you have pair and take a freecard when you have nothing"

EDIT: i dont know what's the best way to fix the problem, just pointing out these are at least candidates

I saw the Clash twice in NYC. Kurtis Blow opened for them at The Pier and got booed off the stage. I can still see Strummer coming out yelling "That's not cooool!"

It started raining hard midway through their set. Jones and Simonen step back to stay dry. Strummer steps forward, standing alone upfront, ripping at it and getting soaked like the rest of us. He was the real deal. Awesome.

I think the other time they opened for The Who at Shea.

Ring, ring, seven a.m.

Is it 2/3 blind structure? If not, just fold pre, it probably is 2/3 though I can't seem to remember so I guess you have to play it.

What else would a 3-chip/6-chip structure (75 is played with quarters there I assume) be? Though I guess at CAZ anything's possible...

I mean, 60 used to be played with 10$ chips and a 100/200 kill.

But yeah, it's 2/3.

I can confirm that ILR is

[x] a girl,

[x] a very good poker player,

[x] very smart,

[x] getting an advanced degree in an erudite field that she's requested I not publicize and

[x] has awakened on New Year's Eve in the adjoining bedroom with my daughter and another winning CAZ reg- who happens to be a guy- and was good enuf to engage in cosmological and eschatological discussions that I found quite satisfying.

Funny how your post flooded my tiny brain with memories. We used this "rap" to come out in warmups in high school. Everyone got so fired up trying to dunk. I remember laying it up and then grabbing the rim and shaking it as hard as I could pretending that I just threw one down when in reality my 5'9'' white ass could never dunk more than a tennis ball.

In retrospect, everyone in that video looks, umm for lack of a politically correct word, gay.

Also, I'm ready for the bayou. Recent times have been taxing and I'm looking forward to spending some time with you, my friend.
