Bluffing the back door. Bluffing the back door.

LAG opens the button, folded to me in the BB and I defend with 6s8s. The button is opening probably 45-50 percent. He is not overly combative post flop. He sees me as a TAG. My image is tight. I don't think he has a 3b range IP on the flop.

AsKc3h....I check, Button bets, I raise and he calls.

I'm really trying to just take this down on the flop. His range is wide and he has lots of undercards he can't peel with. Now that he has called do I shut it down on the turn? Bet certain cards? Check certain cards? I'm betting a turned spade for sure.

Fold on the flop with 8 high.

If villain perceives you as a TAG he probably has something on the flop, either a pair or a gut shot, after your check raise. I would probably give up on the turn but would feel pretty stupid if it goes check check and Jack high or pocket Deuces is good.

Bluffing the back door is when you stick your pinky up a lady’s butt

I usually like to have a double back door to bluff here. So make it 26 or whatever.

As Jesse always told me, you don't get to win every hand.
