Thanks, but to be fair everyone's been pretty kind thus far. Do you play a lot of FL and Mixed?

Hey Gilsams welcome to the forums. All I can say is that after 15 years of online and live poker I've come to the conclusion that poker is all about keeping your head above water between hot streaks. Some days youre gonna win pot after pot. Other days you'll lose pot after pot. You might even have losing years. Hopefully not but it does happen.

I suggest that you go ahead and rack up 1k strategy posts here on 2+2. The true value of 2+2 isn't the free information, but the act of putting thoughts and concept into words.

Good luck.

NVG is having a short story contest. Only 1 person has voted so far in first week since short story entries have been released.

I am winning.

It's so nice when people's moms support them

It's both a brag, and a beat!

You forgot to mention there are only 3 stories posted as well. Maybe I'll vote for yours.

With the new, relaxed standards the winner is probably in the running for a nobel too

I'm aware this is not FL related, but everyone's mad at me for such petty BS. This girl threatened to knock me out and I'd love to wheel kick her nose. Like get another punching bag, it's not my fault Trump won and you're crying.

Haha. Once upon a time I was having fun getting drunk at a downscale bar in eastham ma on cape cod. I was making my way through the crowd and this rather large woman decided to unexpectedly sucker punch me directly in the chest. Luckily I took it like a champ and she had this look of amazement on her face. "What the ****?!" I said. She shrugged. I walked away and went outside for a smoke. There was a circle of men congregated outside chatting. I didn't know them as I'm an inlander. I stood a few paces away from the group with my back turned to them. A rather dark skinned fellow of Jamaican decent came around and approached me. "Respect!" He exclaimed and held up his hand in anticipation of a high five. I obliged and we started chatting.

We exchanged the usual pleasantries. Although I was having a hard time understanding the words that were coming out of his mouth, it seemed to be going well. Then the woman that punched me came outside. She didn't apologize but she didn't punch me again.

There is no moral to this story I just felt like rambling. Gotta love Massachusetts chicks. 😀

Sounds like something out of a David Lynch movie. Would love to visit Cape Cod or NE Coast Town... though I did see this documentary called Cape Cod: Heroin which was sad.

Cape cod is paradise imo. I highly recommend it.

Playing horse tournament

Lady open limps co, button raises, I 3! sb with AQ. Flop Q54, I bet, co raises, button folds and I decide to just call because it's a tournament and I'm guessing she's super passive.

Turn 2, I check call.

River J, check check and I lose to set of 4s.

Button comments "wow....he 3 bet with AQ".

It's unfortunate, but heroin is definitely a problem in MA. This is especially true in the southeastern part of the state, where Cape Cod is located (and where both Bob and I grew up); the Cape during the cold weather months is an isolated, low-commerce area.

Heroin is a problem everywhere, I think it's gaining attention because it shows up in a lot of rural towns that don't have obvious distribution routes.

Latest numbers I could find were from 2014. MA doesn't seem a huge outlier. West Viginia? Sure, huge. Those numbers include both heroin and abused pharmaceuticals, so maybe heroin alone is a different picture. Living in hippie town, maybe the picture isn't clear here.

It's apparently rough to live in steel country

Or to be Mormon

Looks like the trick is to live by the ocean or really far from it. But if you live in an in between state you'll most likely od.

Which comes first? The heroin or the heartbreak?
