I was playing 15-30 heads up live one time at Bellagio. I had 7 high on river and checked back after he checked. Villain insta-mucked.

On the flipside, I raised the river HU with 8 high online, got called and my shown hand lost to 9 high. Beat by just one point!

Really stupid may be a bit harsh: steal, check behind a flop that smashes your range and then open muck in position after a check based on a physical tell that the majority of live players love to use (pretend to be ready to put chips in the pot when they are weak)

Well, now that I say it out loud .... maybe you had to be there

One of the benefits of having a tight image It'd be awesome to collect the notes others have of us in a session, particularly at anonymous sites:

Total lunatic. ISO 40% Plan to showdown med Q high

For me I can guarantee the word idiot shows up way more often than the word tight

Well going to STL this week where it looks like it is all low stakes poker. Best plan seems to be to lag it up at something called Big O, for which I do not know the rules and have never played. Standard play?

5 card PLO8, play nuts only, with a redraw to bigger nuts. Getting quartered in big bet games is way more painful than in limit, try to avoid that.

In 5 card limit O/8, the nut full runs into quads more than you think. Blockers help. In pot limit, if people are tighter, it could happen less often. Still, more cards create opportunities to play strange danglers you wouldn't see in 4 card. Deep, you can get quarters and lose lots, as quantph said. Redrawing matters a ton, so nut low vs. Uncounterfeitable nut low plus fd is no contest.

I have a strong memory of losing a massive pot in this exact scenario, I called a raise in the BB with a dry AA and saw a flop of AQ5, we were heads up to a Q turn when all the money went in. He offered to run it twice?? I of course declined and bricked my emergency low draw😥

If STL means St. Louis, I talked to a guy from there yesterday that said they have a 20 that runs a few times a week that plays with a rock and overs. Hollywood Park I think he said.

What's the appropriate length of time to stop tipping a dealer when I have to do his job? 30/60 game, UTG opens to 60, SB is all in for 28, BB folds. SB wins the hand, and UTG complains he didn't get correct change. SB had 77 in front of him at the end of the hand, which I have to explain to dazed and confused dealer is correct after 5+2 down the hole. We still have to get the floor. Three hands later dealer misses a kill pot. Earlier this weekend he pushed a pot to the losing hand and didn't seem to give a crap.

How long is this guy on the no-tip list? Certainly the rest of the day. His bad attitude and general cluelessness have me thinking about some extended time...

Should SB have even have received a hand there? I thought in most rooms you have to have at least the amount of the BB to be dealt in.
07-03-2016 , 10:37 PM
I wouldn't tip him again until he starts giving a **** about his job. I don't care if dealers make mistakes as long as they're trying, but any dealer who's just ****ing around gets no tips

On a similar note, I'm heading to San Diego after Vegas. What's the poker scene down there? Oceans Eleven or something? Anyone know what runs there and when?

oceans 11 and SevenMile, pretty much. sevenmile just 2/3NL and 5/10NL and sometimes PLO. I think Oceans is the only one with limit (8/16 20/40). Haven't been there in a while so you should prob seek clarification from a reg or in the bricknmortar forum.

Settle a dispute: watching family feud with wife and the category is name something of. Your neighbors your would hate to see in your dogs mouth. I make a bet with 2 spots opens that one answer is "poop." the answer is diaper, we both refuse to pay......

Bonus hilarious answer. 1 spot open, question is name something besides a gun police use for protection. 1 spot open and answer obviously bullet proof vest, family going flr the steal huddles together and goes with brass knuckles.
