Live 20 full. No read/history with UTG+1. Hero just moved to this table 3 hands ago. Its his first and last hand. Players know hero is leaving.

Hero raises A

UTG. UTG+1 calls, MP calls, TAG BTN calls tough SB calls, TAG BB calls.

The flop is 3

Hero bets, UTG+1 calls, MP folds, BTN calls, SB folds, BB calls.

The turn is 6

Hero hates it but bets anyway, UTG+1 calls, BTN reluctantly folds, BB calls.

The river is J

BB checks. There are 11 BB in the pot, so bet/fold is not an attractive option. Hero?

What scares you about the J that didn't scare you about the 6? I mean, the 6 completed straights, and makes 2 pairs with 56 46s etc etc, whereas the J only hurts you if they are playing like J5 etc.

Nothing. But the point is nothing scares them either. So straights and 2 pairs will be emboldened seeing no flush and no Ace respectively.

It's a bet fold but you're gonna get shown 2 pair a ton and be like "wat". I lost to 4s up and 3s up yesterday though so I may be jaded.

Seriously if they didn't pop the turn they are unlikely to pop the river and if they do toss the ones in the muck. Or since it's your last hand tear them in half would be expert.

Yeah, I probably bet/call. Point is, there is too much value to be had from one pair hands and no evidence that we're beat other than a scary board. I don't b/f bc I don't fold on the river, though we're certainly beat over 90% of the time.

bet/call the river (then when shown 77 or 65 tear your aces in half and stuff them in the rake hole, collect your belongings and head out)

Now 2 people suggest I tear those Aces. What is it with you guys? Never had Aces beaten?

I mean, I know my Aces will stand up 4 times out of 5. I don't want to offend poker gods, I want to be dealt Aces again.

Neah J doesn't scare us but 2 people calling my turn bet on the 3456 board scares me a lot. I bet against one opponent but check\bluffcatch against 2.
