This dude who is a complete unknown limps utg, I raise black 9s utg+2, Button cold calls. Button is fine but three bets pretty wide and is aggressive, so his hand should be fairly shitty. Utg calls.

May do this one as an extended play along since there were a bunch of decisions, with turn being most interesting.

Flop is J63

Utg donks

I'd raise flop vs unknown flop donk.

As played I'd call flop and reevaluate turn. Most non-diamond turns I'm probably chk/calling turn getting 8.5 to 1 on turn which seems bad.

I wait for utg to act. If he checks, I probably bet out if the button is the type to check behind, otherwise I check and let the button I initiate the turn betting.

I'm raising flop to try and iso. Unknown (but likely rec player as he's limping UTG), could donk out a wide range. Jack, sure. But also diamonds, 54, 6x. Especially A6s which is the nuts for recreational limit players for some reason. I want to rob BTN of overcard equity and make it spendy for him to peel.

As played, I'm donking the turn into the BTN. Your flop line also looks like diamonds, so if the BTN or even UTG raise on turn, you're pretty sure where you stand and try to fill up in the riv.

Trying to check/raise the BTN is too risky. You want money in the pot if you're ahead and you don't want to give a free card for a single diamond.

Also if the BTN had a naked AJ/KJ/QJ (with no diamond), the turn could easily shut him down. So you brick on both objectives: No money in pot. Free draw to single diamonds.

Just donk.

Gross spot. I think bet turn (since indicated UTG chked ) > chk call turn
> c/r turn

Not sure what I'd do if it comes back 2 bets to me after checking turn and BTN bets, UTG c/r. Probably fold in that spot correct?

OP indicated BTN is LAG so I may call turn if UTG c/r after BTN bets turn.
