should a new player have the ability to post bb in between so he can post sb on btn next hand?
should i have to post blinds 4 times in a row (3 of them oop)?
I'm not sure how online sites do it, but I don't really see another way of doing it that makes sense.
So we were in seats 5 (you), 6 (new player), and 7 (me).
You paid SB, I paid BB, and after that hand everyone else took a break.
I just paid BB so now I have to be SB on the button in heads up play, and you're BB OOP.
After that hand, button passes back to you and you're SB on the button and I'm BB. Now 6 wants in.
If the rule was that he has to buy the button to get in, you'd still have to be SB OTB because you just paid your BB - you can't pay BB twice before paying your next SB.
Additionally, if he had to buy the button, then there would just be two BB's next hand (me and seat 1).
However, he doesn't have to buy the button at Canterbury. Any time play moves from heads up to 3-handed, the new player is allowed to post a BB in any position - because regardless of his position, the first hand of 3-handed play will be SB otb, BB, BB, and the next hand will be SB otb, SB, BB.
