I understand. I am no old man like you (just a mere 23), but I am now helping to support my common-law gf (3+ years) who works at a nonprofit and makes less money than a barista at starbucks

What's with poker players and cats.

After Vegas I'm getting a dog. And I'm going to sick it on all of these cats. And me and my dog Eli will reign supreme over the internet, while all the minbetters morn the loss of their cats, I'll be dominating the fish populated games.

dogs are too high maintaince and take away from important grindddding time. Plus if you get into tournies you def can't be walking them doggies. As Larry David said "it's like having a bum live in your house."

but I heard having a cat makes you better at handling the swings of no limit hold
'em, a game many pros won't even play for that very reason. It's not a coincidence that the biggest game of the year is decided in this very format.

I had a huge advantage in that I couldn't care less about the match so I was completely immune to tilt.
