AP 15/30 Four Handed

Villan is Ninawilliams. 30/20/2 good TAG reg on AP. Not much history with villan and just wanted to check since other AP regs seem to have a bit of history with him/her. Standard call down here considering BvB?

Can't imagine anyone in their right mind playing this another way.

3 bet the turn to ensure that you hit on the river.

But yeah this is fine. You prob lost. but w/e. Its bvb you can't fold this.

Is it realy bad to fold at the river? This one of those hands I typicaly call down with(feeling that I'm beaten), and when I lost(almost always), I think I should known that I was beaten and should have saved the last bet.

Some people are just never bluffing on this turn. You only beat bluffs, the pot is small. I could see making a fold I just couldn't see posting it

I could imagine folding like A6, 77-99 on the river, but AQ is too good to fold imho
I dont know Nina, but against someone with this kind of stats its a pretty easy calldown i think.

I've seen Ac 3c take this line (it shouldn't). I've seen QJ take this line (debatable, but can't be that bad.) I've seen JT take this line. I've seen T9, 8c7c, and even 5c4c take this line. There is no way I'm folding AQ here. If my opponent really seems to never bluff here, maybe I fold QJ and worse, but against a thinking player regardless of stats they will probably notice if you keep making big river folds and start semi bluffing, pure bluffing, and 'value bluffing' (with like Q7) in this spot.

I can see having JT or maybe J9 here.

Just curious Nina what range of you could hold and be calling down with on the turn?

It's mostly Kx. It's not impossible for me to have a draw here though, JT being most likely.
10-07-2008 , 02:53 PM
Do you bet the river with JT?

No doubt it is a call down. If you start folding this to Nina BVB get out of his blinds. He is a bastard to deal with in the blinds. He has his normal gear and BVB gear and they are totally different in my experience. There are a handful of players I don't want to be put in BVB situations with and to be honest Nina is at the top of the list.

folding creates the possibility of a catastrophe, which should probably be avoided. so hand is pretty standard.

is 3 betting the turn bad? seems like it is now but I can think of many times where Ive done it in the heat of battle but this was probably, as mentioned before, to ensure that I hit on the river.

Cant see the point of 3betting imo. Kx will be a decent part of Nina's range probably and she will be betting 100% of rivs with missed bluffs anyway.

Nina, would you ever play Qx this way?
