What should happen when a signup deal is not fulfilled? What should happen when a signup deal is not fulfilled?

Here is the case (no names for now):

I signed up on a poker site that does not allow rakeback. I chose my affiliate because he was offering a regular freeroll or monthly added tournament more attractive to me than the other kickback offers I could find.

A few days after signing up, comes tournament day and the event is canceled due to the minimum number of players not being reached! I don't know yet whether that is the case every time or not: couldn't find out so far but I am still trying. I also couldn't get a clear answer of who is profiting from the cancellation, affiliate or poker room.

As far as I am concerned, it would seem fair to me that either:
- the prize money be divided equally between the registered players
- the money be added to the prize of the next tournament
- the tournament be reported but not canceled
- the affiliate or poker room put up players to reach the required minimum number of players. If their players win, fine, they can keep the money, I have no problem with that.

But certainly not that they "confiscate" the money and screw the players out of their fair share of it.

No mention was ever made at sign up time that a minimum number of players was required (and to be honest, it didn't even cross my mind).

I browsed and searched the affiliates/rakeback and bonuses forums, but have not found a similar story so far.

Any advice/insight would be most welcome.

Note: I am still working with the affiliate and poker room on an acceptable resolution...

Looks like I might have posted this in the wrong section. Could a mod please move it to where it belongs?

1) Try to workout a peaceful solution with them
2) Failing 1), smear their name on 2+2/other forums and move on
