Has anyone seen this? How easy is it to rake 10k+ on Carbon playing 1/2 limit? I have no idea what the traffic is like. I don't want to sign up now in case another promo comes up later.

Is rake generated based on the rake I pay (what I see in HEM)? Or is it based on the rake that is taken from the pot?

Rake generated is based on the rake you contribute. $10k+ is fairly high amount on any room.

If you already know your rake on another room per month, it shouldn't be too hard to estimate the volume required on another site.

We will of course have other promos at Carbon in the future, but this iPad one is in addition to our personal $10,000 rake chase which we run monthly, so it is not like we have substituted it .
There are also the 1 in 3 to 1 in 75 freerolls for those who rake less etc.

Not sure where you are based but you can also get a free iPad by generating 4,500 points at Betfair in 90 days (about $900-$1350 in rake - new accounts only) or €5,000 for all our players (new or existing) at PokerHeaven

Both are of non-US but there are also chances at 2 other rooms FT and Ladbrokes.

Hope that helps

Best wishes

Wow, contributing 10k is probably a lot or me, since I doubt they have enough traffic to 12 table 1/2 limit.

Unfortunately, I am us based

Understood - well as mentioned, some of the freeroll iPad promos offer good value and then there's the luck of the draw at FT

Best of luck anyhow

I play 50$ husng's. How many games at betfair would i have to play to generate the ammount of rake needed for the 4500 points? Any idea?
02-02-2011 , 12:08 PM
few weeks ago i read some stories here about betfair and "lost funds on accounts"

are these issues solved yet?

if so raking 900$ is not such a big deal,

but first dep bonus is deducted from valueback correct?

also the rake races are deducted?

Hey Al

Those issues are resolved and all funds returned yes.

As for the rake - the beauty is that you only need to earn Points not Rake!
4500 points to be precise so deductions of bonuses (races are not deducted) etc don't have an effect and you can definitely pick up way over 100% returns on your investment.

Even if we do say so ourselves, it is an incredibly good promotion for new players and an easy way to pick up an iPad!

Best wishes

Hey AriciU

5 Players Points are awarded for every $1 paid in fee

You play $50 + $4 SnGs

So you earn 20 Player points per tourney

The terms are you must earn 100 points for any 45 of the 90 days

So you would need to play only 5 tournaments per day for 45 days and you would get your

Sign up Bonus
Your VIP Valueback
Any race winnings (ours and theirs)
And an iPad!

Crazy?
We probably are!

Hope that helps

Kind regards

just a question about this 45 days/100 points in 90 days all together

let's say on monday i earn 200 points, and tuesday and wednesday im lazy

and thursday plus friday i earn 300 points and in the weekend im lazy again

does this fit in the t&c? or do they really want u to play everyday once you

started and earn al least 100 points per day. So everyday 50 points for 90

days will not do the job either correct?

and oh yeah, first dep bonus is deducted correct?

Hey Al,

It doesn't matter if you are lazy!

You don't have to play for 45 days in a row.

But those two days you did play just count as 2 days of 100 points.

So you could play every other day during the 90 days to get 100 points each day. But as you say. You cannot get 50 points per day for 90 days to get the iPad

Hope that helps

How is the HU action at Betfair?

Edit: Is it possible to find games around the clock or only in euro primetime??

Hey Beck

Betfair is part of the OnGame network now and so is the second largest network and 5th largest "room" overall.
Therefore the action is way better than when they used to stand alone
As a result you get some decent round the clock HU action - but it is definitely better during the Euro time zone obviously

Hope that helps

RTR one more question to get this straight.

Let's say i got over my lazyness and i got the whole 4500 points in just two weeks. That doesnt fit the T&C either right?

Im trying to say that you "stuck" with this promo for at least 45 days correct, even if your earn more then the required points?

Hey Al

Yes you are right, you need to play for at least any 45 days in those 90 to meet the requirements. I wont bore you with the details but the promo needed to be done like this to conform with network rules.

PS we need to work on this laziness

LOL!

I like your style.

I tell you what: if this thread reaches 200 replies and 15,000 views before midnight GMT on February 28th 2011 - we'll send you an iPad.

The posts/views need to be authentic/relevant (not manipulated like the mileage on a car, by anyone - see Ferris Bueller's DO lol!).

I realise it's a punchy target in 24 days...and you may little help spreading the word...but it's a promise.

So, rawl, all those stories we've heard about Carbon being high variance aren't stopping you from trying this?

Course those stories are from nits like Eddaaaaay and Lusky. DTM who is clearly more skilled than they are is killing it over there.

Does this apply to all merge skins?
02-05-2011 , 11:50 PM
I don't understand the ipad promo for FTP:
"Each week you can qualify for the draw by meeting the rake requirements we set. The level is always $50 and in some weeks it will be regular tables and tourneys, while in other weeks it might be Rush poker!"

What is the rake requirements?
What does "the level is always $50" mean?
Also, I looked around and couldn't find any schedule for weeks when it will be regular tables and tourney, or rush poker.

Thanks.

PS. +1 to Scott's question: This this promo apply to all merge skins or just carbon?

I'm wondering the same thing. Free Ipads are awesome.

I think RTR could answer that better. I just wish that merge had more traffic for the games I play at. IMO, it's nice that they give you a target to hit and you know exactly the prize you are going to get.

Get betfair to ship to US plz. k thx

Hi guys

At the moment the iPad promotion is only free on Merge via the Carbon skin.

As you may/may not have seen, there are also free "earnable" iPads at Minted (Everleaf) and Betfair (OnGame).

The Betfair offer is the "easiest" as it's 90 days from the date you register in February and 4500 points which is $900-$1350 in rake.
However it is NON-US on OnGame.... sorry

Best wishes

Hey Fany

I'll try an summarise here

There are 8 iPads (of our 25 guaranteed February iPads) to be won at FT - 2 each week.

They can be won by participating in the draw we will hold each week

To qualify for each week's draw you need to earn $50 in gross rake at FT in the qualifying 7 day period.

Those periods are

Week 1 – 1st -7th February – Rake $50 – Draw Friday 11th February
Week 2 – 8th -14th February – Rake $50 – Draw Friday 18th February
Week 3 – 15th -21st February – Rake $50 – Draw Friday 25th February
Week 4 – 22nd -28th February – Rake $50 playing Rush Poker – Draw Friday 4th March

As you can see, Week 4 is the Rush week.
No one person can win twice in a month so we will have 8 different winners.

Sorry you couldn't find the details on the website but they are here if you need them.

Best wishes

How relevant is "relevant"? Is this post asking for clarification on the relevance of relevant, relevant? I'm trying to think of as many comments as I can that are of value to a thread about rake for an ipad.

Anyone else notice the broad increase in the cost of call options for AAPL???
