What is the best way to use Pokerstars FPP? I usually try to use them to satellite into the Sunday Millions. If I win a seat, I unregister and use the credit for smaller tourneys. What are other/better uses of FPP?

I am currently a Goldstar but expect to be Platnium by end of March.

what you said is ok. If you are ok with MTTs or SNGs then that works, as do the 280FPP hyper turbos to the sunday 1/4 million-> which are soft as ever and better value than just buying stuff from the store.

I'm a supernova and I grind these, way better value than anything, other than the Porsche, that is. Take the 4k bonus as an example.

4k bonus = 250k fpp (4000/250,000 = .016) or exactly 1.6 cents per fpp

Do the same for the superturbo sattys
250k fpp = 893 tourneys
take 1st or 2nd in 60% of these for a total of 535 sngs won 535*11 = 5885

They might be better value, but wouldn't they crush your hourly from your regular games?

For someone that makes 100$+ / hour wouldn't that be -EV?

be aware a lot of desperate donks are also playing these pushing with any 2 and sucking out a lot often.

I dont see how these would be worth your time.

My friend told me he was able to purchase $1,500 from Stars for 85,000 fpp not too long ago from a promotion they ran. Seems like letting the fpp accumulate and doing this is a better idea instead of wasting too much time on fpp satellites when I could be grinding tourneys where I have a good EV.

Anyone disagree with this philosophy?

I've got to disagree with the 'time wasting' theories being put forward. If you play either the 100fpp hyper turbo double shootouts, or the 280fpp hypers, they're really not that intrusive. Just fold/shove basically. They are easily playable on top of your regular load of tables.

If Lets say you make plat with 8k pts, x2.5 for the bonus, thats what.. around 20k/month? Thats 200 100fpp or 71 280fpp. Around 6.6/day or 2.x/day respectively. Both these tournies have spots that pay back buyin in fpp for bubble spots. So you might have to play a few more.. but whatever. And they can be mixed right in with normal play.

When the purchasable bonuses come along (like the f40 one).. sure go ahead and buy them. If they give good value @ $0.016ish/point. Otherwise play the 100/280fpp.. you should easily be able to pick up more than $0.016/fpp in returns.

my hourly at the 280 hyper turbos is currently $66 over 150. Anyone playing high volume at 200 nl+ wouldn't really benefit from this, but everyone else should.

Also .016 = 1.6 pennys, math ftw

i just do the 50k fpp for $650, simple, quick, lets me concentrate on my main game.

The $650 bonus is .013 per fpp

If you played the 280 fpp st's and won 40% of them (a five year old could do this) you'd win 71 out of 178 for 781 or .01562, which is a better rate than the 1.5k sn bonus (.015) and slightly worse than the 4k bonus and concierge (.016 and .01612)

each tourny takes roughly 5-7minutes to complete, so say you play 6-10 you'd spend ~3 hours. But you'd rather let stars take the extra $131 you could get. Things like this is why the program is so generous, because ppl still buy electronics from the store, use points to enter tourneys where they are dead money etc.

fwiw I took your advice and tried out the hyper turbos...ended up playing 56000 fpps worth and made $946 super soft but I ran kinda bad tbh lol.

U played some too. I agree they are super soft. I ran pretty well in them though. I used about 8200 fpp and won a total of $198. Like I said, I ran quite well.

I know the 210 FPP sattelites to the Sunday quarter million take more time cuz they're turbo, not hyper turbo, but wouldnt' they probably give you a higher ROI?

i don't think so, 6ppl 3places payed in st's, 20 ppl 4 places paid (iirc) in the two table turbos. Any % jump in roi would be offset by time imo. avg st last 6 minutes for me.

????? I might be misreading this but the 280FFP hyper turbos pay 2 places. The 210FPPs pay 6 places.

Please answer this for me, cause I don't understand what this means - Don't you have to play in the tournament when you place - where is the $11 figure coming from, and how do you get this back in your account? Do you just get credits, which then have to be sold? Please explain.
