Offline poker affiliates $$$ ? Offline poker affiliates $$$ ?

01-22-2010 , 12:56 AM
I registered to be an affiliate for a poker site.
I was wondering if offline marketing was worth it.

I'm going to put flyers on cars at my university parkings.
I printed 1800 flyers and it costs me like 7$.
If someone use my bonus code and play enough I make minimum 70$ . (ex: 100 FTP on full tilt).

Does anyone here making money this way want to share some tips ?
Like good places to put them etc... Would help me a lot !

I will share my results in a month if anyone is interested !

Ya, I was thinking about it too.

7$ for 1800 flyers is a very good price imo.

Keep your identity hidden.

Surely you can find the time to create some sort of website?

There are ways you can do this for free and it creates a much better impression when people start to show an interest.

Aim of doing offline marketing is to target ppl who don't have interest for poker yet.

Becarefull howewer, because it can be against the website policies.

I thought about it, but if they go on the internet they might search for better offers or rakeback deals etc...

The way I made the flyers it "looks like" they have a special bonus offer. Also I modified the original flyer with an info email adress.

I think you'll have limited success offline. In our early days we did some pretty aggressive offline marketing. The most success we saw was when one of our owners (who is quite the talker) would pitch to people face to face at local casinos and bar games.

if anyone actually believes that they have a "special bonus offer" from a flyer on their cars, then they really do need to stay off the pokers and spend more time at school.

let me know if this works out i might do this

also what kind of money do you make?
is it like if the person deposits and plays long enough you get a fixed rate per person?

I'm going to make a website that makes it 'look like' they have a special bonus offer....unless it's been done already....

I've seen new affiliates talk about stickers too for offline. I don't get it. Why the hell would someone pick up a flyer or remember a sticker they see somewhere and go home and locate that website, or enter that bonus code to get a bonus at a poker site?

I just don't think anyone's going to be that motivated when they see the print ad for this. Surely if you offer it, they know they can look online for that offer through google and find someone else doing it.

you're better off with business cards, people like to keep nice business cards, fit in the wallet, it's pretty convenient.

You can find good deal for 1K business cards for less than $20 online.
