FTP Rakeback and Ironman FTP Rakeback and Ironman

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. But if I decide to play in th monthly Ironman 30K freeroll, and it averages 400 people in this tourney, I can expect to take a hit of $75 against my weekly rakeback?

Or is that $75 against my weekly MGR? Which would be about $26 against my weekly rakeback?

Or am I way off here?

Hiya,

If you exchange iron medals for tournament tokens ($75 and $26) then there is no hit against your MGR. But if you use those tokens to enter a tournament with an overlay then your MGR will get affected (and your rakeback 27% of that)

Kind regards

Thanks for the reply, but maybe I didn't make myself clear.

How much will it cost me in rakeback if I play in the monthly Ironman 30K freeroll?

Sorry, we are checking with FT but we believe in this case you would incur $75 against your MGR or $20.25 in rakeback

Ahh, that's what I figured. Thanks so much for the help.

I see why people take the medals.

If you cash out existing iron man medals do those count against MGR or rakeback as well?

Nope only when you exchange them for points and then spend the points.

How about the year end bonus? When I unlock that will it take away from my rakeback?

The previous 2 did not effect MGR(year end and mid year)...I did not see confirmation from FTPSEAN or FTPDOUG that it would be the same this time around..IIRC in the past they stated NO MGR hit because it was a "Manual bonus"...

I also have not seen anybody that has cleared the bonus mention anything about an MGR hit...I am assuming there will be no MGR hit...

How about if you use the medals for cash is that considered a bonus?

Exchanging medals for cash we believe does not affect your rakeback.

Using your ironman medals to purchase the 300 or 600 bonus does result in a hit to your MGR. After your hit you'll clear about $438 for the 600 bonus.

cashing in 54k in points will cost me how much in my rake back? Also if I use my medals for the Cash bonus that will hit my rakeback too? Also the bonus for medals is a bonus you have to unlock right? or is it just str8 cash to your account.

54,000 pts x $0.005 per point = $270 of MGR
$270 x 27% = $72.90 in rakeback

Is there a way we can get clarification from RTR on this? This will heavily affect my decision on where to spend the medals.

it does hit your MGR as any other bonus that is not manual will. Do a search on here, this question has come up many times.

You can not exchange medals for "CASH" thus no MGR hit is possible..

It's common knowledge that as you clear a bonus MGR is hit...
