Rakeback is like a bottomless bonus. Typically you get rakeback and bonus though. For example at Full Tilt you get a 100% up to $600 first deposit bonus and 27% rakeback. This means if you deposit $600 you get a $600 bonus that clears as you rake. You also get rakeback on the remainder. The formula is rake - bonus (and at FTP - overlays, points spent and processing fees) = MGR x .27 = rakeback. In other words if you rake $1200 to clear $600 in bonus you still get 27% of the other $600 ($1200 - $600 = $600 x .27 = $162 in rakeback). Once you clear the actual bonus Full Tilt gives you then you will still get 27% of all rake paid using the formula rake/# of dealt players = MGR x .27.

I know this is a complicated formula but I don't think it could be explained with a simple answer. Feel free to post more questions and the forum will be happy to help you.

Rakeback:

When you play a poker, the pokerroom charges a fee(rake) for every pot you participate in, typically 5% of the pot. If you have rakeback, you will be refunded a % of the rake you have paid. Usually rakeback deals are around 30-40%. So lets say you have signed up for a 30% rakeback deal. If In one month you have raked $100, you will get $30 back.

Poker bonus:

A poker bonus is an incentive provided by the poker room to come and play at their site. In order to receive this bonus money, you must play at the site, and rake a certain amount. Bonus amounts and requirements for clearing the bonus are different for each poker site. The standard sign up bonus for the biggest sites is 100% bonus up to $600
This means that to get full advantage the bonus, you must deposit at least $600, and then you will get a $600 bonus that you have to clear.

Hope this answers your questions.
