Hi. I'm thinking of making my first deposit on Cake Poker, using some rakeback deal. My question is, if one is using the rakeback deal, does one is still eligible to the first deposit 100% bonus?

Yes, but it clears at half the rate that it does for non-rakeback players.

I'm doing it now. Halfway through.

Get ready to put some time in, but it's worth it. Essentially, I'm getting 49% rake back during this period. How can anyone argue with that?

You'll also get gold chips which can be used as buyins to some tourneys. You could also use them in the Shop (unfortunately the Shop sucks balls).

And there's the Gold Card race, and daily freebie tournaments.

Overall, not bad at all.

The software is not nearly as good as Stars though, but it's ok.
