this was referring to two SEPARATE bonuses.

afaik you cannot deposit twice and use one bonus together, so i still don't know an efficient fast way for US players to take full advantage since our best option echecks are limited to 600.

I think someone in the thread in Internet Poker said this will work. I emailed support to confirm and I'm still waiting for a response.

I posted this question in the thread in Internet Poker too...

What is the equivalent rakeback % added by this deposit bonus? I currently play at FTP cause of delicious 27% rakeback, but assuming I'm a silverstar playing 25nl at PS, will it be equivalent rakeback greater than 27%?

Any bonus whores care to help me out?

Do they pay the bonus in one lump sum?
Because I only play NL25 for average 1hr per night. It'll take forever for me to reach 5000 pts, I might just deposite $500 for a $125 bonus instead. Good move?
02-12-2009 , 02:28 AM
Yes, Stars bonuses are always lump sum.

AFAIK if you e-mail support and explain that you are going to do two deposits right after eachother to make full use of the bonus, they will apply the bonus to both deposits.

darn. the US-Canadian exchange rate is horrid right now. hopefully the Cdn dollar rebounds a little bit in the next few days so a reload won't hurt as much

hmm i didn't think they would allow this since I emailed support asking for what options I could do to take the full $250 bonus and they only told me to use WU and sending checks in. I wasn't very specific though so maybe that's why.

I already made my deposit and afterwards read your post and then emailed support explaining to them I didn't know but if it is possible i'd like to make another $400 deposit and get the rest of the bonus.

I'll come back and update once they send a reply.

You guys should be checking out the Official 2009 PokerStars VIP Club Discussion Thread.

A lot of the questions I see in here are also being asked/answered there. There's a lot more traffic in that thread.

imo deposit the maximum that you can.
it's also not 5000 points for the bonus, it's bonus amount x 20 base fpps.

so if you got a $125 bonus you' need only 2500 points.

but anyway the bonus reloads come pretty rare i think so you should try to take maximum benefit of it, it doesn't matter that you get your lump sum of cash earlier if you lose some bonus money out of it.

if you want to get the full $250 bonus you'd need roughly 42k hands at NL25 if you multitable enough i think you can get that easily within 2 months

Yes, as long as you request this and get permission in writing before making the first $600 deposit.

When I requested to increase my deposit limit to 1k this is the response I got from support:

Quote:
As a way to alleviate the pressure on our security department forgranting deposit limit increase requests we can offer the opportunity toapply the bonus for two separate deposits. Thus, when you have made your second deposit, please respond to THISemail and we will manually apply your bonus to the full amount of yourtwo deposits. The reason for this is that the daily limit for eCheck is $600 on itsbasic level, and the weekly is $1000. Thus if you make a deposit today, you can make a deposit for the remainder of the amount tomorrow. If you despite of this want a deposit bonus increase, please let us knowand we will look into it. Please note that for this to be possible weneed to wait for your most recent deposit to clear. To view the statusof when your eCheck deposits will be clear on our system, just click onthe 'Uncleared Deposits' link that will be shown in the PokerStarsCashier after you make any eCheck deposits. Also know that granting yourdeposit increase request might take a couple of days due to the largeamount of requests we are currently receiving. Please remember to respond to this email when you have made your seconddeposit, so that we can manually apply your 25% up to $250 bonus for our25'th Billion Hand Promotion. Good luck at the tables! Regards, ValentinaPokerStars Support Team
I just opened my Stars account on 1/1/09 and only got <3,000 VPPs last month, so if I'm getting this offer, everyone else should be as well.
02-12-2009 , 10:18 AM
I got the exact same E-mail as KyndGroove when I asked for a deposit limit increase.
02-12-2009 , 11:30 AM
I've requested that, but they must be getting tons of email. I don't think I've ever waited this long to hear back from support.
02-12-2009 , 02:43 PM
Do most 10¢/25¢ hands have less than $8 in the pot? Are you saying that less than 1 in 8 NL25 hands will earn a FPP, so you have to play 42,000 hands to eventually earn 5,000 FPP?

"Hello xxxxx,

Thank you for contacting PokerStars.

Please make another $400 deposit and contact us again. We will then cancel
the current bonus and re-apply for the full $1000.

We hope to hear from you soon.

Regards,

xxxxx

this is the email i got from support after asking about making a 2nd deposit AFTER my 1st deposit. so sorry for my lack of knowledge before and possible confusion.

Why do they call it a base FPP instead of a VPP?

During double VPP promos, base FPPs (and therefore, bonuses) will not accumulate at double speed.

If you look through the other posts, no one has been able to get this yet. They give you one $250 bonus.

Figure out what you can clear and deposit for that IMO.
02-12-2009 , 08:31 PM
I email support and they just told me they forwarded the message, how long does this take. I kind of feel like playing
02-12-2009 , 11:36 PM
so, if i dont complete the full bonus after 6 month (i think its is right?), what happened ?

do i have 0 $ because i failed to complete it ?

yes, you get $0

Stars confirmed to me you can deposit $1k and they will manually add the bonus....

too bad I just tried depositing the other $400 with eCheck and it's currently unavailable

Yeah, great time for this to go down.... Hopefully it will be back very soon. I'm sure they have had a massive volume with the reload.
