Im in the process of signing up for hollywoog through PSO and i was wondering which of there initial deposit bonouses would be best for me??
I can deposit anything up to $800 and usually play 3 or four tables of NL25 or NL50.
How easy will it b to clear these bonouses at these leveals.

Hollywood has endless 8x bonuses that you can buy in their point shop. I.e buy a 10$ 8x bonus for 20 points. When cleared you have 80 points and can buy 4 more... Don't worry about the deposit bonus unless you are willing to play a lot and prefer a lump sum instead of frequent smaller ones.

I would call those 10x bonuses in that case.

Still, you have a point with the 8x. OP, take whatever amount works best for you, as long as it's 8x. Plenty of OnGame skins have tons of 8x bonuses.

If you just want to clear the PSO bonus and get out, I actually have a thread in the PSO forums about optimum deposit amounts so you clear the deposit & PSO bonuses at the same time. I must admit though, it's been months since I've updated it. I really need to get back there and fix it.

You can't call them 10x bonuses. You only need 20 points to get you started on the first one (about half an hour 4 tabling). By not using a deposit bonus or doing a small deposit first to get a tiny bonus. Then deposit a bigger amount. You can get started clearing bonuses right away. My point was that it is usually better for smaller stakes players to get continuously smaller bonuses rather than bigger lump sums.

I'm confused...if you want to do them continuously, why isn't that a 10x? The points you use to buy them is quite relevant.

The points you earn clearing a bonus can be used for buying the next one.

Thanks for the replies very helpful. ill go with a smaller deposit than i had planed to clear the PSO bonous quickly if i can buy bonuses later, trying to build my roll quickly moving around to different sites gettin all the PSO points i can before i settle down.

Yes, that's my point. If you're going to compare continuous bonuses, then for ones that require points to buy them, you have to take into account not just how many points it takes to clear them, but how many it takes to buy them. The greater of the two is what should be used to determine the multiplier.

As Twilight mentioned earlier in this thread, the points earned while clearing a bonus are enough to buy four new equally-sized bonuses.

Yes, I was being dense it would seem. Must have been thinking they were like the old Tower bonuses where they cost more in the store than the points you would get for clearing them (IE a 7x $500 cost 3600 points). If the 8x $10 costs 20 points, that certainly is an 8x continuous. I'll just slink away quietly now...

I also need some advice regarding the hollywood bonus system:
I deposited 150$ on hollywood poker two weeks ago and chose one of the sign up bonus...I need 800 points to clear it through end of august, and have already collected 300 points...
does the bonus release entirely as soon as it is completed or in parts?
I dont understand the other bonuses which can be bought for 80, 100, etc. points. Are those bonuses additional?

i think bonus release in quartely
so $100 bonus is release in 4x $25
for hollywood, don't go crazy on big bonus
stay within alots small bonus
choosing big bonus could cost you. 1)receiving bonus later, 2) not to be able to finish in time.
doing $100 bonus 10 time, clear exactly the same as doing 1 x $1000 bonus.
i make a rookie mistake signup for 5k bonus
after a month and half, i email hollywood to kill that bonus in my account.
it has cost me about $500 in bonus (which is alot consider i only deposite $1k)

But still...I believe I've chosen the 200% bonus and deposited USD 150 ... I need 800 player points to clear the bonus....but if the release is quarterly and by now ive collected 300 PP...then the first release should already have me made, right? 300 is more than one quarter of 800, isnt it?
I think it will be released completely after clearing the whole 800 points...

If you chose the 200% bonus and deposited 150 US, you got a 300 bonus. You need 8 points to clear 1$, so 2400 points total to clear the entire bonus. It releases at 100$ increments. So

800 points - first 100 US
1600 points - second 100 US
2400 points - third 100 US

i found that the smaller bonus u take the better since u get unlimited 8X afterwards anyway....might as well get the money ASAP if u ask me....unless of course u really want the bonus items...like the tourney tickets and such

omg are you still offering calenders and ipods when signing up ?

i have never got my calender and hall of fame gear from 2007 lol

and btw dont bonuswhore this site, they will stop giving you 8x bonus if you only play bonusses, they will call you a bonuswhore and only offer you 10x bonus

and that is even if you signed up with RTR´s bonus sheme. ( which is unlimited 8x bonus)

i was a hall of fame member at holly and stayed loyal for nearly 2 years before they called me a bonuswhore and would only give me 10x bonus.

so now i just play at tower, they dont call me a bonuswhore and give me 8x bonus.
