Sweet, 100K, medals to points, better value than the first two. Definitely nice as I had been holding off until this went down.

About time they added it.

BTW based on my top of the head calculations (which might be off) it's the exact same value ($.20/medal) as the $600 bonus, making them both the best deals when you don't factor in rakeback (when you do, the tournament entries are the best since they aren't deducted).

Random semi-related question:

Does anyone know if using FTP points as entries into tounreys (e.g., the 1,800 point SNGs for $26 tokens) affect MGR/rakeback?

After searching around, I can see that spending FTP points in the store does hit MGR, but I wondered if this was a way to spend them without reducing rakeback and couldn't find that info using search.

Thanks

Nothing from the Ironman store DIRECTLY affects rakeback. However, the things you buy may affect rakeback when they are used. For example, the points when you spend them and the bonuses as you clear them. So no, the tournament entries will not affect rakeback (unless the tournament you use them in has an overlay).

Spending points deducts $1 from your MGR for every 200 points spent, whether you use them in the store, buy into an FTP point tourney, or otherwise.

Yeah, I posted about this yesterday. But whee.

Yes, point entries to tournies hits your MGR.

Thanks for the answers, guys. Still seems like the FTP point SNGs and donkaments are not a bad way to convert FTP points -> tourney entries and/or cash even with the rakeback hit. The stuff in the stores is pretty overpriced IMO.

Does the double point promotion currently running lend itself to your Ironman progress? If I made 200 points during the double points hours, will 400 points eventually show up on my Ironman page?

No, the double points don't count towards the iron man challenge. If you make 800 regular points, you won't get the 1K medals bonus for the day, as an example.

Check the double points menu to see how many points you'll get credited at the end of the promotion.

So buying the tokens from the store should actually help your rakeback since you are getting a little rakeback when you use them right?

So if you have rakeback the points or bonus from medals are only worth .146 each if you buy 100,000 points or a $600 bonus (.2 x .73)

Assuming you are a break even player then the if you use medals to buy $75 tokens they are worth .191 each ([75 + (6 x .27)] / 400)

Conclusion... the tokens are currently best but, in reality, the whole promotion is fairly crappy compared to a good old partypoker bonus pre-UIGEA)

BTW, does anyone remember how much the $216 / $530 tickets cost prior to them being removed?
