if you don't want the pink wait until later today and check. they are updating with new laptops all the time. you should be able to find a more gender appropriate one if you look hard enough

I actually don't care if it is pink. I'm thinking if it a bit expensive? You told that u find one for $750. and this one costs $900. What do you think? Were you just lucky or it seems that I have to wait and look for better offers?

I'm quite sure they usually update it but I dont think there are a lot of WUXGA laptops that they place.

It's honorable that you did your work and searched the forum... but I recommend making a new thread in which you tell us your budget, intended usage, and if you're willing to consider other screen sizes or resolutions.

the reason for this is as follows. when this thread was started, a variety of laptops with WUXGA (i.e., 1920x1200) screens were available. by now, this market segment is almost dead. yeah, there's the Apple MBP 17" (starts at $2299), the HP Elitebook 8740w (it's $2999 with WUXGA screen), and the Lenovo Thinkpad W701 ($2774 with WUXGA). but all these laptops are so insanely expensive that other solutions are far superior in terms of cost-effectiveness.

I am using a Dell Inspiron Studio 1735 for my 17" mobile desktop.

It tiles 12 tables just fine, font gets pretty small if you use HUD but still legible.

It tiles 9 tables quite beautifully. (stars and Tilt anyway, they let you resize tables)

I was also able to get a second HD into the laptop. This is especially helpful if you're going to run HEM locally (big performance boost if you run the DB on a separate HD).

If you're just tiling 9 tables, I think the Dell Studio 17 is a good fit for you. They are selling 1920x1080RGB LED screens now and you won't be disappointed at them.

A quick config with 4gb ram, i3, and full hd 1080p (1920x1080) RGB LED screen showed a price of $979
