With us, you have to take a typing test and an Excel test, and its like "yeah, I can do macros, VBA, and know equations." They always fail the most basic things. "I type 40wpm" roughly translates to "I'm a hunt-and-pecker that types 15wpm with 70% accuracy."
It's possible to type that slowly? Lawls

If you really want to do some damage, 301 redirect your home page or some high traffic page on your site to Goatse. Do it on a Friday night for maximum impact. Your company will be getting irate calls for months - as those things are almost impossible to clean out of the browser cache. I had to uninstall and reinstall Firefox to get rid of them once.

I think my work computer is possessed. Some code wouldn't build that I was 99.9% sure was correct. I finally was about to give up and in a last ditch effort cut and pasted the exact same code in the exact same location and all of a sudden it worked.

***creepy***

its built-in to es3 even.

On another note, has anyone started using 6to5? is it worth pursuing at this point for enterprise?

If you can explain to me what generators are good for.

On the opposite spectrum, I can type 150wpm and don't find it much of a benefit with programming. There's a limit to how fast you're thinking out lines of code in your head, assuming you are in fact thinking about them (which you should be).

Yeah I type like 60wpm and can't imagine I'd use anything faster 99.9% of the time I'm writing code. I could post like the wind on 2p2 though!

Talking about CSS box model...how awesome is flexbox and why haven't I heard of it before

Also watched the other React Native talk...pretty interesting design decisions I must say. No CSS...we just generate that from JS. Inline styles are back...etc.

Hehehehe *evilgrin*

Disagree. Hunting for a new job is a very strong option in that case.

My biggest problem with flexboxes is they draw immediately, and let you know a big heavy responsive site is on the way. Whenever I hit them with my iPad I cringe (especially if coming through the FB or Twitter app).

Any site with a bunch of flex-boxes usually takes like 10 seconds to finish bouncing around and drawing all it's ****. (See Bleacher Report for worst of the worst example - but a lot of other sites are almost as bad).

To me seeing a flexbox right off the bat kind of like the "Loading Java..."* of the responsive web world.

In case anyone doesn't remember there was a time when Java Applets were going to take over the web and JavaScript was shunned. When you went to a site and saw "Loading Java" in the browser status bar - it was never good.

Ya, still makes me shudder. That was as creepy as the time when every second site was a semi-static flash page.

Until the end of November we received a total of 6584 € (~5500 net) donations for this year. Class was fun today. All the folks around me were half-paying attention, half-trying to work on the day's assignment. I just sat and focused on what he said, then banged out woke code and was done with all the functions he wanted while others were still asking questions about the basic first parts.

He wanted us to turn in our work to show that we were there, but I'm already done.

Never woulda happened with hunt and pecking!!

How does one do that? Low profile keyboard? One of the alternate keyboard setups (Dvorak for example)?

that site loaded instantly for me, and drew itself all at once.
