Can someone direct me to a thread or explain how I can adjust the resolution so I can use my TV as a computer monitor?

I bought a 26 inch Dynex TV and got VGA cables going from the TV to my laptop PC. But I can only fit 4 tables across the monitor cleanly basically as if I was playing on my laptop. Not sure what adjustments I can make.

Please let me know if you need more info.

Thanks!!!

It's not the size of the tv set in inches, it's the resolution of the TV set that controls how many tables you can see. If the TV is 780p it's going to have worse resolution than most 20" monitors.

So does anyone use a TV as monitor to play poker? How did you set it up to make it optimal?

Yes, many people do. However, almost all of those people use a 1080p TV (1920x1080). Your TV is 720p (1366x768). There are no adjustments that will make it better. The optimal poker setting for a 720p TV is 'off'.

I have a Sony 1080p TV I can only get 4 tables full size but like 6 tiled before it starts looking blurry. What resolution should I set my TV at to have like 8 tables tiled.

Thanks

720p is 1280x720 at progressive scan, period. 1366x768 is typically called 768p or WXGA.

It's true that TVs with a resolution of WXGA are often called something similar

LG 26LD350 26" LD350 Series 720p LCD HDTV

The 720p here has nothing to do with the resolution, it only means that the TV is ready to play typical HD content (which is broadcast in 1080i or 720p modes).
