Trying to Multitable on my LCD..Help Appreciated

Hi All
Ive connected my Toshiba Satellite A300 Laptop to a Mirai LCD 32" TV with a HDMI cable (Specs Below)
Mirai HDTV :Panel Resolution 1366 x 768
Toshiba A300:MAX RES :1280x800 graphics card is built into the motherboard Intel Chip 4 Graphics
But when i Tile my Tables theres a space on the left hand side i feel could be used better
when i turn the LCD on i get the exact same screen on the tv with the space on the side.

moved to CTH, people will know better in here 
There's gonna be a setting on your laptop that lets you toggle using the TV as it's own screen in addition to the laptop - this will get you the most desktop area, and likely allow you to run the TV at it's native 1366x768.
