the other party can hear me, but i can't hear the other party. my speakers are working fine with all other applications. seems like i must have a setting ticked or something, but i don't know how to fix it. uninstalling and reinstalling skype didn't help.

thoughts?

Skype has an audio setting that might be set for some other output option.

In my Mac, it's in the "Preferences." It's a good idea to look at wherever this is located in the Windows version, if that's what you're using.
