Hey guys, i'll apologize in advance. I'm a complete computer noob so sorry if i'm not great at this kind of stuff and my language will be way off, but I hope you can understand me.

All scans I ran were quick because I need to get off soon to university and hoped for a quick fix.

Anyway, I just had my McAfee pop up saying about some security threats. I run a quick scan and it comes up with 6 threats of which it can quarantine 4. I go to quarantine the 4 threats and for some reason it doesn't allow me. I restart my computer, quick scan with McAfee again and it finds nothing. I download Malwarebytes and run a quick scan with that and again find nothing.

The thing that is confussing me is that security centre pops up just after starting up the computer saying that firewall and malware protection are off. Also, I have restarted three times, on the second time of booting up, my McAfee was not protecting my computer for a good five minutes and only started to protect my computer after this time.

I sincerely apologize, but for now I need to get off for a few hours to go to university, but any help you can offer will be extremely appreciated.

I just ran a full scan of Malwarebytes and nothing was detected. Do you think everything is ok?

McAfee is poop. Please post the scan logs from McAfee. I have a feeling those detections were related to Holdem Manager.

Avira Anti-Virus is the recommended free anti-virus here. I recommend that you uninstall McAfee and download, install, and scan with Avira Anti-Virus. You also have a ton of cruft on your system that should be cleaned up.

Post the McAfee logs from the scan that found infections. If you can't find any such logs then I recommend running a scan with Avira.

Being a complete noob when it came up with the detections I panicked and decided the best course of action would be system restore, not realising this would do nothing

I'm afraid I believe the logs are lost.

What i'll do is get Avira in the morning cause I could do with some sleep now.
