Hi - so I have just purchased a second monitor which is the same as my first (Dell U2412M) and I have a question about video inputs.

My video card only has one DVI, one VGA and one HD input which means that my second monitor running on the VGA looks a lot differnt to my DVI one as the output quality is inferior. I bought a DVI to VGA adapter thinking I could run a a DVI from the monitor and adapt it to the VGA input but it deosn't regsiter.

My question is: is there a way around this or do I need a new video card with dual DVI?

Thanks!

Ok,so, just to clarify, your video card has one DVI,one VGA, and on HD(HDMI?) OUTPUT?

If it was an HDMI output, use that one. VGA to DVI adapter won't do anything, as the output will still be analog.

Did you try changing the resolutions? There's no reason why the VGA and DVI shouldn't be able to output the same res in this case.
