Sandbox in W7 64bits ? Sandbox in W7 64bits ?

Hi,

I've just switched over to w7 from XP and realized that sandboxie doesn't work in w7 64bits. Is there currently any sandboxie-like working program for w7 64 bits?.

KIS 2010 has a new sandbox feature called "safe run" but it doesn't work very smooth in w7 64 bits. (by very smooth I mean not working at all). I've seen ZoneAlarm has a sandbox called ForceField but I've never tried it.

Also, my protection right now is basically KIS2010, Keepass, fifrefox+noscript and common sense, should I buy superantispyware and malwarebytes ?

Please, feel free to criticize my security.

You don't need to buy SAS or MBAM but you should use either. They're both free for on demand scanning. Only the real time protection modules are not free.

I think you'll probably just have to give it some time with Win7 and all the security vendors. Win7 is just now coming out, it's gonna take a little while for everyone to get their software working properly, especially if it's a new feature like the case with KIS.

Statistically, most intrusions over the last year used holes in pdf viewers. If you are running Acrobat Reader 9.x.x less than 9.2.0, you are vulnerable. Yes, you want an antivirus but chances are it cannot stave off every intrusion if you run outdated software.

I am not saying that running MBAM etc. every month or two from a Windows PE system is not useful. It is. But I think having up-to-date software (including latest Flash, Adobe Reader, browser, etc.) + an antivirus + common sense (e.g., not opening attachments to emails from untrustworthy sources) goes a long way.

Not using adobe reader goes a long way.

Also, if you want to sandbox, why not just use a VM?

Dude, drop KIS and get Nod32 + Comodo.

Nod32 is a little over $20 a year if your a student. And Comodo is free.
