Seems like every time I click a link, I get sent somewhere else in the last 6 months. Is this happening to everyone or is my computer just all screwed up with malware?

Still using Firefox11. Everytime I attempt to upgrade to Firefox 23.01, Firefox fails.
All my software is 3 years out of date. Nothing is compatible. Can I upgrade in safe mode? Would it make any difference?

do not upgrade firefox, but uninstall and and reinstall the new version

The security is pretty bad.

Can I install the new firefox version first, then uninstall the old version.
My IE browser is all screwed up. Firefox11 is the only browser which
is working.

why not clean your computer of malware first and then have a functioning computer and install the new version however you want.
