ok so here is the story,

I recently gave my laptop to my brother, this was a laptop which I bought about a year or so ago now, It came with windows vista 32bit pre installed, the laptop was running really slow. So my brother asked me to take a look at it. So I did and I couldn't find out why it was so slow, as he did not have anything on it I just decided I will put a fresh copy of windows on it.

Now I installed Vista on it but I installed the 64bit version on it, I'm not sure if the laptop came with a back up disc or anything like that (will look tomorrow)
So I try and enter the product key but it doesn't want to work. I even used the automated phone activation to try and do it but obviously that didn't work.

What do you suggest I do?

Email them, it take a bit but eventually they get back to u; if it happens to be that code is invalid or whatnot they will probably give u a deal on a key too
