Problem with external monitor. Problem with external monitor.

I have an eMachines E211H and it has been causing some problems whenever I ahve it hooked up. iw ill be using my computer and rnadomly it will flash to a blue screen where a lot of log commands come up and then it will have this counter that goes up by 5's and eventually when it reaches 100 (normally 5-10 second) it will shut down my computer. If I am listening ot music it will get stuck on the note it's ona nd repeat it a bunch while it's doing this. There seems to be no rhyme nor reason to whyu it doing it, as it may do it twice in 1 hour, or not for 12+ hours... just seemingly random. When i don't have it hooked up my computer works fine.

Also, when i was looking around i saw that it was set to 32-bit color,a nd I was wondering if putting it down to 16- would help it,a nd maybe make the computer run smoother overall. I will admit i have no idea what this setting does, but I know i don't game, or anything, besides poker, so i don't know if i need a higher setting. (If it helps, i normally am playing 13-14 tables, with Tableninja, and PT3 running, and generally iTunes as well.)

Thanks if you guys can help.

Wow. Funny things happen.

I really don't know where to start as there might be a gazillion reasons.

First of all, find yourself display drivers and install them.

Go to hardware manager and remove the current driver. When installing the new one, specify the location where you've downloaded the driver to.
