Alright, last night I decided I need a new PC when I loaded up Skype and Full Tilt Poker and it wouldn't run for ****.

What I came up with (with help of a friend) is:

http://www.ibuypower.com/ibp/Store/C...=182&c=1468942

I am somewhat computer illiterate and am not sure if this build is good or bad.

My friend suggested upgrading to the 4gb ram but is that really that much better than the 2gb?

I want to be able to run Skype, TeamViewer, Hold'Em Manager, and a poker site.

I would like the option to play minor games, but nothing serious.

Thanks in advance,

CTB

Well the link doesnt seem to be going through right now, but i looked at it earlier today...looked pretty good. I don't think you had an OS listed there. If you are gonna run XP, not much difference between 2 gig and 4 gig because you are limited to 3.25 gig minus your PCIexpress video memory, so you will be in the 2 - 3 range anyway unless you run a 64 bit OS.

A site like that where you can customize whithout getting raked over the coals is nice in the 400 - 800 range. They will put together a nice PC that you can actually upgrade the motherboard in, in the future.

As always....I urge people to check out www.dealcatcher.com and check out the Dell deals. You can get some sick deals sometimes where they throw you a flat pannel for nothing. But, you get stuck with Dell support for parts and with Vista...so pick your poison.

I downgraded the HD (because there's no way I'll even use the base 320gb) and the motherboard so it's down to $475.

I have a decent monitor, but I'll be sure to check that out.

Also, I have an XP disc here which I think will work, but everytime I try to enter the code they say it's been used too many times. People have told me I can just call in and they will reset it or something?
