Is my build good enough? Is my build good enough?

Hey 2p2, I'm terrible with computers and would love feedback on my build: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/P7pddC

Purpose: Mostly poker (15+ tables with HEM/notecaddy/maybe more); otherwise just browsing, watching shows, torrenting.

I might game when i'm extremely bored, so I didn't include a GPU. If I do play more games I'll just buy an extra GPU and add it

So how does it look? Is the processor strong enough or too weak for poker?

You should consider getting a quad core if you want to run HM2 and NC on 15+ tables.

Also, the PSU is prolly too weak for a performant (ie. 150W+) graphics card.

get a better power supply. some of the top brands are Antec, Corsair, Seasonic. You do not want a cheap power supply. HIgher chance they blow and take out your entire computer. My first build i bought a cheap power supply and it blew up in less than a year and took out my motherboard and ram.

heres a better one for the same price but its also a 80 plus bronze.. in terms of energy efficiency, its 80 plus titanium > platinum > gold > silver > bronze > regular 80 plus

i5 quad core has no hyperthreading and i7 is overkill. which CPU would you recommend?

I would suggest a 250gb SSD if you are playing that many tables/hands and using HM2 + NC. NC can cause the DB to swell when in use and some can be reclaimed with maintenance but you also need plenty of free space for things like creating backups, purging hands, etc as they use your Windows TEMP directory.
