hi forum,
basically, i have no clue when it comes to technology but i want to get a device that can play podcasts (like the one here at 2+2) and i have no other use for it at all if that helps. (so i wont need a screen i think). do you know if it's possible to mp3 podcasts and which is the cheapest device i could purchase to your knowledge. thanks a lot.
p.s. i tried to search first but i really have no idea what im talking about and figured the internet kids would know. cheers.

Your original post explicitly mentions only wanting a device for podcast listening. Do you think I would ignore that and go to the trouble of sending you a link to a device that won't play podcasts. My brain reels trying to concoct a scenario where this would be the case. I can think of only 2:
  1. I am a spiteful human being who is purposefully leading you astray; or
  2. I am stupid.

I suppose it is possible that I am both. I tried to deceive you and ended up linking you to the perfect device. I will leave it as an exercise to the reader to research my post history to determine if I am malicious or stupid (or both).

Pop Quiz:

Please find: p(device will play podcasts| not malicious or stupid)

Hint: Baye's Theorem

Spoiler:
Yes. It will play podcasts.

lol @ funkyworms. I also second the sandisk sansa clip. After years of using ipods, I finally decided to try something different, and I find the sansa clip superior in nearly every way important to me. Two nicest features: 1) don't need to use iTunes but can just drag and drop like a usb stick. 2) way cheaper than an apple product

I have the clip+ though, b/c I really like the expandable memory option (with microSD cards), folder browsing, gapless playback, and replay gain. Overall, they're pretty much the same and you're probably best off with the exact link funky posted.

FWIW, a lot of people (myself included) think the sansa clip produces better sound than any apple product too (plus the included headphones are better too, if you don't have your own).
