Limewire won't let me connect, says "firewall detected" even though it's off

So I go to my control panel and open up the security section to turn off my firewall, but limewire still says it detects a firewall and won't let me connect.

Now what doesn't make sense to me is that I list limewire as an exception on my firewall options so shouldn't it let me connect even with firewall on?

So theoretically it should work while firewall is on and it should especially work with it off but it doesn't.

Is it possible I have some other firewall on my computer I don't know about? Is there a setting on limewire that I could just switch to react to my firewall differently?

Any help is much appreciated!

Your router might have a firewall.

Try other limewire like programs. I recommend Cabos.
