On my desktop I run stars/HEM/TOI/ninja will it be able to handle all that? I don't play games or anything so just poker, internet and maybe the odd office document.

Will this do the job? I'm not up to the play with laptops, cheers.

720p resolution is not good enough for poker(at least for me), I would say you NEED 1080p

I've heard a bunch of people say this and was kind of curious.... but is this more for people who use their laptops as laptop the majority of the time...instead of say connecting it to a 24 inch?

I use mine to connect to my desktop monitor and occasionally take it with me for work related stuff. I'd say I play poker on it for maybe 5-10 hours a month as a laptop...the rest of the time its connected to my 24 inch.

I recall 1080 aka 1900x1200 being super tiny font size wise and occasionally having to squint. but maybe thats just me.

side not I used to tile but now I just display 4 tables and stack other tables on top of them...8-12 tabling max

You shouldn't buy a laptop looking just at specs. I mean, yeah, if the laptop will always sit on your desk and you'll always have it hooked up to external keyboard, external mouse, and external display then you can mostly look at specs. But if not, things like design and ergonomics are tremendously important.

There are about one gazillion laptops with these specs. Except they might use a slightly different video card. But that doesn't really make a difference. These laptops run in the $700-$900 range (depending on some other things you don't list). What sets them apart are things such as built quality, battery life, design.
</rant>

But yeah, a laptop with these specs will do the job. I agree a higher resolution such as 1600x900 would be preferable--but 1366x768 is def the standard resolution screen in this class and you have more models to choose from. A 7200rpm drive would be a bit nicer than a 5400rpm drive, too.

Btw, the perhaps best laptop with specs similar to the ones you list is this one.

Ya I'll be stacking the majority maybe overlapping 2 tables with TOI. I mean I'll still grind on my desktop but for going away and the odd tournament when ya gotta cook dinner or something it'll be nice to have. I'm not US so although that's a nice laptop I probably have to pay a lot more for it here. Just mainly wondering if it'll run HEM and Stars/TOI without any lag? Thanks for help so far
