I need a new computer I need a new computer

My latop broke and I'm looking for a desktop.

I can get MS office for £39 through a student website, I think that's about £200 off but not sure. I can also get karpinsky 2010 with 2 years cover for £21. if these two offers are much cheaper than elsewhere, am I better off buying a computer that comes with no software? I'm not sure how much I will save by doing this instead of buying a complete package.

Most places that sell you a computer with software installed will have a something of a discount built in compared to what that same computer would cost without the software. But your best bet is to find a computer you like, and compare something with equivalent specs with and without the software included. If the price difference is more than what it would cost you to buy, go for it, if not, get everything together.

Worry about the specs and hard components of the computers that you're comparing first, and worry about the cost of software if you come upon two computers with similar specs and different software. Often, you'll want the computer with no software because those ones often come with a ton of useless bloatware as well.

Something to look into is using Open Office instead of Microsoft office. It works just like Microsoft Office for most uses but is open source (free!).
