I am getting flooded with spam e-mail

usually yahoo grabs it and throws it in spam, but now it's all directly coming into the main box at enormous amounts?....how can I stop it and what could have caused it?....I haven't signed up for any new sites or anything like that?

I got window live and get spamed alot.If you request emails from one website i think they give your email address to other sites to spam you.But with windows live you just right click the email and can block sender from sending you anymore or block the domain name its very usefull.
Dont know about yahoo but if it gets to bad just set up another email account that allows you to block email senders and domains.
