2:08 PM xxx:
yeh there is
2:08 PM xxx:
im thinking about changing the hard drive and replcing with an ssd 2.5"
2:08 PM xxx:
will that fit in this machine and am I able to replce the hard drive?
2:09 PM MANAS:
I am afraid you cannot replace the hard drive rather you can upgrade ythe hard drive . Please find below the configurable option for your system.
Supports the following hard drives:
● 1 TB, 5400 rpm, 9.5 mm
● 750 GB, 5400 rpm, 9.5 mm
● 500 GB, 5400 rpm, 9.5 mm and 7.0 mm
2:10 PM xxx:
I dont understand, why cant I replace the hard drive?
2:13 PM MANAS:
Because you cannot upgrade to SSD because SSD is used for a cache purpose and if you want to upgrade to SSD then you need to purchase the separate the OS from Microsoft as because you are using the OEM version of OS which will only work with the hard drive which was shipped with the system.
2:14 PM xxx:
can I not clone the exsiting hard drive to a new ssd drive?
2:15 PM MANAS:
However SSD is not a configurable option for your system.
2:15 PM xxx:
ok so the ssd wont physically work even with a new copy of windows
2:16 PM MANAS:
Yes , you got it now.
2:16 PM MANAS:
