a friend of mine who currently is in tanzania doing some sort of work was wondering how much data is transmitted during online poker play? apparently tanzanias infrastructure suck and the only real solution to gain access to one of the internets is mobile internet where you pay by the megabyte. I googled all this but i couldnt find any info on this. Please help me out so i can take his african money!

i searched "mobile internet", and didnt really find what i was looking for. i am planning a 1 year trip around usa, and currently derive my income from online poker. an air card setup would be my first choice, but now i find that they have a 5gb/month cap. what are people doing who need mobile internet? sat internet is very expensive...

5gb a month 5gb in poker would last you months and months, remember your just sending data to the server, for example you visit a webpage with 10 images on the page each picture has to be downloaded, games like FTP your just sending actions to the server while be connected all the time, there is no images to load either. I used to play FTP on dialup and it works fine. 5gb = plenty for online poker

at this point, im mostly interested in mobile caps, or specifically finding a provider that doesnt have one.
