I basically just need a computer to play on, store all my hand histories and run my 30" 305T monitor, maybe two of them. Need to get today, anyone have opinions for me asap please.

A friend of mine runs a computer store and one of his employees found this for me. I think he's used to trying to get the best/cheapest deal for people which is fine but I don't want any problems and don't mind spending a bit extra if need be. So here's the comp.. and on the side I'll get a GeForce 8600 GT video card for it.

Kinda old gen, I wouldn't pay more than $200. If you can afford, get something more modern. That being said, this might still get it done -- I wouldn't run two 30s on it though.

That CPU was about as low-end as it got, and that was when it was current back in late '07. It was a $70-$80 or so part you put in budget systems. It's not nearly what you're looking for.

The other issue is the 250w power supply. Forget it, especially if you're dropping in a decent video card.

They might not have been ripping you off or anything, if the price was right someone could get by with this, but it's not for you.
