have you changed any major hardware or software on your computer recently? if you have, then HEM thinks that you're trying to run it on a new computer, and your license won't work until you deactivate it and reactivate it.

As far as the threat detected, can you give us some more information as to what you were doing at the time? Do you only get the threat detected when u launch HEM? I'd follow the virus/malware sticky and post the logs as instructed.

Close HEM and your anti-virus and delete any \xenocode\appliance cache folders and any other possible false positive files.

1. Enable "Show hidden files and folders" under Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View
2. Go to C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Xenocode\Appl iance Cache and delete every folder you can find in there

If you are on XP, that location is C:\Documents and Settings\%USERPROFILE%\Local\Application Data\xenocode\appliance cache

Empty your recycle bin.

reboot

Please update to the latest beta - http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe

If you have Kaspersky try this:

http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/s...2&postcount=10

or this:

* Go into the KAV settings window.
* Navigate to the Service node.
* Here, turn on the Compatibility mode for programs using self-protection option.

If that does not work then find the "Heuristic Scanning" option in Kaspersky and disable that.

Enable the options to see Hidden Files and System Protected Files: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tuto...utorial62.html

1. Delete C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\holdemmanager.exe.ldat (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)

2. Delete C:\ProgramData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic (XP Users can find the file at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\AppData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic)

3. Update to the latest beta - http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe

If you can't find those files, DO NOT delete any other files with similar names.

Please send your Reg.log from the C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Logs folder to support@holdemmanager.com.
