Help With New Laptop for SSD Help With New Laptop for SSD

I bought a SSD in Hong Kong and havent been able to use it in my current laptop (I dont have a backup of my Windows Vista and found out (thanks to 2p2) that it is better to have Windows 7 for a SSD).

So I am going to buy a new laptop to put my SSD into (upgrading my laptop was overdue anyway). My new laptop will be for poker only (with a few other things like Skype). I am going to buy something with an i5 or i7 processor, 4gb ram, Windows 7. Does this setup sound reasonable and will it be able to maximise the performance of the SSD? Is there anything else I should look for in particular when buying a laptop for my SSD? The SSD I have is a SATA II 2.5" 60GB. Any tips as well as to how to most easily transfer the SSD (and the operating system on to it) on to the new laptop would also be much appreciated

Thanks

Basically, just make sure you have a latest-gen platform (motherboard) and if possible that the producer didn't mess up the BIOS completely with his own crap.

Also, there is no moving an OS to an other disk.

You can install windows on the SSD, don't forget to set the IDE controller to AHCI instead of SATA mode in your BIOS before doing so, and then use "windows easy transfer" on your old pc to transfer files to your new pc.

Oh, and install chipset drivers after installing the OS for gods sake -.-
Before you install anything else.
