so i recently bought a 2nd monitor so i could use the two and extend the desktop across both monitors. I only have the one input for monitors (vga) and so purchased a 2-way SVGA monitor splitter and ran the two monitors from this Hub. However, the image was just mirrored and i tried to use the display preferences screen to extend the desktop but it was only recognising one monitor. i now have seen a svga one male to two female cable on amazon for like £2GBP and am thinking i can just plug the two monitors into the splitter and windows will acknowledge the two monitors,. is this right? am i doing this the hard way?
